How and When to File a Storm Damage Insurance Claim

STEP 1: Contact a Professional Roofing Contractor with Restoration expertise

STEP 2: Making a Storm Damage Insurance Claim

This includes all measurements, pricing and any code upgrade requirements necessary to bring your property back to its original condition before the storm.

 

STEP 4: Insurance Claim Summary

Your insurance company will send you a "scope of loss" summary containing the list of damages recorded, repairs being covered and the payments associated. Along with the summary will be your first installment called ACV (actual cash value payment). It is important to review this with your Stay Dry General Contractor representative to ensure that it’s complete and accurate for damage coverage’s and regional prices paid to you. At this time, you will determine repairs to be made and products to be installed with your Stay Dry General Contractor rep.

 

STEP 5: The Roof Repair Process

When you choose Stay Dry General Contractor as your Tri-state roofing contractor we will set a date to install your new roof that is flexible for you and your family. Most Roof installs with us are a 1-2 DAY PROCESS, it’s that simple. After the install our Roof Inspector will come out to make sure your roof is completed and to answer any additional questions you may have regarding the installation or claims process.

 

STEP 6: Certificate of Completion

Once your repairs have been completed by us we will send a final invoice and certificate of completion along with any supplements to the insurance company. This will release any remaining funds being withheld. This is called recoverable depreciation.

 

STEP 7: Final Payment and Warranties

Upon receipt of final installment, Stay Dry General Contractor will provide you with warranty information for products from the manufacturers.
